Chat to build real apps

Say what the app should do. Watch it get built.

StarBuild writes a full-stack app from your description, with the database and login included, runs it in a live preview, and publishes it when you are happy.

Try an idea

Every reply is checked before you see it, and you get a receipt of what ran.

A booking page for my pottery studio: list the weekly classes with times and let people sign up with their email. Planning pages, a classes table and a sign-up form. Verified. Receipt saved. Live on its own address

What every project starts with

  • A real database
  • Sign-in included
  • HTTPS when you publish
  • Code you can export

From a sentence to a live address

Three steps. You can stop after any of them.

  1. Describe it

Write what you want in your own words. If the request is vague, StarBuild asks one question instead of guessing.

  2. Watch it get built

The agent writes the code, runs typecheck, lint, a build and a browser test, and fixes what breaks before it replies. Click through the live preview and keep chatting to change it.

  3. Publish

One click puts the app on the internet with HTTPS. Use your own domain, go back a version or take it offline.

What you get

  • Build by chat

Describe changes in plain language. Open the files or the diff whenever you want to see exactly what changed.

  • Instant live preview

The app runs while it is being built, so you click through the real thing instead of a screenshot.

  • One-click publish with HTTPS

Publish, read logs, roll back a version and connect your own domain from the same screen as your chat.

  • Database and sign-in included

A Postgres database, user accounts and secrets are part of the project. You set up no servers to get started.

  • Code in Git that you own

The project is ordinary code on Next.js, TypeScript and Tailwind. Export it to GitHub and keep working anywhere.

  • Mobile apps for iOS and AndroidComing soon

We are building Expo support so the same description can produce a phone app. It is not available yet, and we will announce it here when it is.

Proof, not promises

After each reply StarBuild shows what it actually ran. If the AI broke something, it repairs it at no charge, or reverts to the last working version.

Example receipt
  • Typecheck passed
  • Lint passed
  • Build passed
  • Browser test passed
  • Screenshot saved

Nothing broken, nothing to repair.

Pay for what ran

There are no monthly tiers to guess at. You buy credits ahead of time and each message spends some.

1 credit = US$ 0.01

R$ 0.05 for customers in Brazil

  • An estimate and a cap first

Before a message runs you see what it should cost and the most it can cost.

  • A receipt afterwards

Each charge is the real cost of the AI, sandbox and build time plus a published 30% margin.

  • Repairs are free

When StarBuild has to fix its own mistake, you are not billed for the fix.

Current packs and any free daily credits are shown in the app.

Questions people ask

Do I need to know how to code?

No. You describe the app in chat. If you do code, you can open the files, read the diff and export the project to GitHub.

What does StarBuild build?

Full-stack web apps on Next.js with a Postgres database and sign-in, and lightweight static sites when that is all you need. Native mobile apps are planned, not available.

What if the generated app does not work?

StarBuild builds it and tests it in a browser before replying, and repairs failures on its own at no charge. If it cannot, it reverts to the last version that worked.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. Publish first, then attach a domain from the project settings.

How much will it cost me?

You buy prepaid credits at a fixed public value. Each message shows an estimate and a cap before it runs, and a receipt afterwards.

Is mobile support available?

Not yet. iOS and Android apps through Expo are in development; web apps are what you can build today.
